Refrigerant Gas Weekly Price Report: Less Demand and Less Production (16-22,Jan.,2023)

Publish Time: 2023-01-20     Origin: Site

This week, refrigerant market bad factors dominated, prices stable downward. Weekly Market Characteristics: Raw material market fluorite

powder and hydrofluoric acid supply shrinks, but downstream demand is weak, price is weak to maintain stability; Trichloroethylene,

tetrachloroethylene, sulfuric acid, and liquid chlorine due to weak downstream demand, procurement decreased, price shocks downward,

upstream raw material product prices fell more and less, resulting in weak mainstream refrigerant cost support.

By product, the HCFCs production quota will be issued in the new year, with an overall reduction of about 20%-60%. The supply reduction leads

to a strong seller's market. It is expected that the R22 price will still have room to rise in the later period. The downstream demand market of

HFCs is in the off-season and is approaching the Spring Festival. Due to the stagnation of logistics and the reduction of export demand, the

demand for domestic and foreign sales is light and the shipment of factories is not smooth. In order to reduce losses and reduce inventory

pressure, factory production reduction, shutdown phenomenon increased. In the short term, HFCs refrigerant prices are less likely to rise sharply

due to weak cost support and weak demand. But after the Spring Festival holiday, as factories resume rational production and sales, downstream

demand warms up, refrigerant prices will slowly return to rational levels.
