What are the refrigerants for air conditioners? How many refrigerants are there for air conditioners now?

In this article we will discuss following 3 subjects about refrigerant gas:

1.What are the refrigerants for air conditioners

2.How many refrigerants are there for air conditioners now?

3.What type of refrigerant is used for household air conditioning

What are the refrigerants for air conditioners

There are several refrigerants commonly used in air conditioners, here are some of them:

R-410A: An efficient and environmentally friendly refrigerant, commonly used in central air conditioning systems and commercial air conditioning systems.

R-22: A Freon refrigerant commonly used in residential and commercial air conditioning systems.

R-134a: A refrigerant suitable for automotive air conditioning systems and some commercial air conditioning systems.

R-407C: A non-chlorinated refrigerant for commercial and industrial air conditioning systems.

R-32: A new type of refrigerant that is considered a more environmentally friendly alternative for use in household air conditioning systems.

The refrigerant achieves the cooling effect of the air conditioner through the circulation of evaporation and condensation. When the refrigerant enters the evaporator, it absorbs the heat of the indoor air and evaporates into a gaseous state. The evaporated refrigerant gas is compressed to a high pressure, then cooled by a condenser and turned into a liquid state. After the liquid refrigerant is depressurized by the expansion valve, it enters the evaporator again for circulation to achieve the refrigeration effect.

As a representative of a new generation of environmentally friendly refrigeration media, FRIOFLOR refrigerants are more environmentally friendly than refrigerants composed of chemicals such as Freon, such as higher safety, lower global warming potential and lower ozone destruction potential. At the same time, FRIOFLOR refrigerant also has higher refrigeration efficiency and stability, which can be widely used in commercial air conditioning, household air conditioning, automotive air conditioning and other industries. The technological advantages of FRIOFLOR refrigerants, coupled with increasingly stringent environmental regulations, have gradually become a popular choice in the refrigerant market.

The continuous popularity of FRIOFLOR refrigerants is due to the unremitting efforts of Ares New Energy Co., Ltd. in the market. However, as an environmentally friendly new refrigeration medium, FRIOFLOR refrigerants still face some challenges. For example, the cost of FRIOFLOR refrigerant is higher and requires more capital investment; At the same time, the promotion of new refrigerants requires people to accept new habits. These problems require refrigerant companies and agents to work together to lay a solid foundation for the sustainable development of the industry.

In summary, the gradual popularization and wide application of FRIOFLOR refrigerants not only meets people's needs for environmental protection, health and efficiency, but also makes great contributions to environmental protection, and also brings feasible development solutions to the refrigeration industry. With the promotion and support of agents, it is believed that the market share of FRIOFLOR refrigerant will continue to increase, making greater contributions to protecting the environment and saving energy.

How many refrigerants are there for air conditioners now?

At present, the main air conditioning refrigerants used are as follows:

R-410A: Also known as Puron, is an HFC (hydrofluorocarbon) refrigerant commonly used in central and commercial air conditioning systems with zero ozone destruction potential, but it has a high greenhouse effect and needs to be used carefully.

R-22: Also known as Freon, is an HCFC (hydrochlorofluorocarbon) refrigerant commonly used in residential and commercial air conditioning systems, but it has a destructive effect on the ozone layer and has been banned in many countries.

R-32: is an HFC refrigerant that has received more and more attention and use in recent years, it has zero ozone destruction potential and low greenhouse effect, but needs to be used with care because it is flammable.

R-134a: Also an HFC refrigerant, commonly used in automotive air conditioning systems, but also used in residential and commercial small air conditioning systems, with zero ozone destruction potential and low greenhouse effect.

Overall, more and more air conditioning systems are now using HFC refrigerants to reduce the impact on the ozone layer and climate.

What type of refrigerant is used for household air conditioning

The refrigerant models commonly used in household air conditioners are R22 and R410a.

R22 is used in fixed-frequency air conditioning, because it has a certain destructive effect on the ozone layer, so it is a transitional refrigerant.

R22 characteristics:Colorless at room temperature, nearly odorless gas, no combustion, no explosion, no corrosion, slightly more toxic than R12, but still a safe refrigerant, safety classification A1; Pressurization can liquefy into a colorless and transparent liquid. R22 has high chemical and thermal stability, especially in the absence of moisture, and does not react with general metals below 200 °C. In the presence of water, it works only slowly with alkali. But cracking occurs at high temperatures. R22 is a low-temperature refrigerant that can achieve a refrigeration temperature of -80°C.

R410a is used in inverter air conditioners. It is a new type of environmentally friendly refrigerant, does not destroy the ozone layer, the working pressure is about 1.6 times of the ordinary R22 air conditioner, high cooling (warm) efficiency, improve the performance of the air conditioner, and does not destroy the ozone layer.

R410a characteristics: R410a new refrigerant is composed of two quasi-azeotropic mixtures R32 and R125 50% each, mainly composed of hydrogen, fluorine and carbon elements (expressed as HFC), with stable, non-toxic, superior performance and other characteristics. At the same time, because it does not contain chlorine, it will not react with ozone, that is, it will not destroy the ozone layer. In addition, air conditioners using new refrigerants will also have a certain improvement in performance. R410A is internationally recognized as the most suitable refrigerant to replace R22, and has been popularized in Europe, America, Japan and other countries. R410A replaces the status of use and entry into international markets with global trends and outlook in major international markets.
