What are the advantages of R410A over R22?


Compared with R22, which is currently widely used in air conditioners, R410A has many performance advantages, and has good heat transfer. Its main performance advantages are reflected in the following aspects.

(1) Compared with R22, the R410A system has a significant advantage: the heat transfer of the evaporator is 35% higher, the heat transfer of the condenser is 5% higher, and the heat transfer coefficients of R407C and R134a are lower than R22.

(2) Its cycle working pressure is about 57% higher than R22, the unit volume refrigeration capacity is about 43% larger than R22, the refrigeration coefficient is about 7.7% smaller than R22, and the other parameters are basically close to R22.

(3) Under the same mass flow, the pressure drop of R410A is relatively small, making it possible to use smaller pipelines and valves than R22 or other refrigerants, thereby reducing the cost of materials.

(4) Compared with the R22 system, the system matched with R410A can use a smaller volume condenser and evaporator, with lower cost, and up to 30% reduction in refrigerant charge. The reduction of refrigerant charge can not only reduce costs, but also improve the reliability of the entire system.

(5) Since the loss of the compressor in the compression process is lower, the evaporator and condenser have stronger heat transfer, and the pressure drop in the entire system is smaller. Therefore, in a system with the same cooling capacity and the same condensation temperature, The energy efficiency ratio (COP) of the R410A system is 6% higher than that of the R22 system. Efficient heat transfer and smaller pressure drop make it lower condensing temperature and higher evaporating temperature under the same operating conditions, which enables the compressor to obtain a lower power consumption and higher efficiency ratio. Good operating range.
