The traditional peak demand season for refrigerants is expected in Q2/Q3 of year 2024. At the same time, air conditioning, automobiles, refrigerators and other fields of equipment renewal and trade-in policies will also promote the growth of related industries.
In terms of supply, the quota implementation has made industry supply more orderly. HFCs (third generation refrigerant gases) are expected to have a long boom cycle due to the limitations and cost issues of the fourth generation of refrigerants.
Entering 2024, under the influence of the quota policy, the refrigerant market will continue to be hot, and the prices of each product will increase by different margins. At the end of February, the domestic refrigerant R22 price was 22750 yuan/ton, up 9.9% compared with January.
Refrigerant R134a, R125, R32, R143a, R410A rose 5.1%, 34.7%, 28.8%, 29.5%, 32.3% respectively.
The current industry operating rate is not high, the overall supply is tight, with the traditional peak season approaching, manufacturers are bearing in mind price-sought mentality.
